To start my research into web page design for my trailer, i looked at some film website that didnt necessarily fit the conventions I identified but nevertheless were successful in doing what i needed, which was to attarct audiences enoug to want to see the movie. The film weiste i picked is 'Why So Serious' for the film 'The Dark Knight' (2008). I identified three conventions that the website used and how effected they were.
Main/Home page
~ Included random pictures which was effective because it mirrors the chaos in the film
~ Games - The target audience are able to be interactive also this a form of promotion for the chacters (the Joker in particular because all the games have the clown theme)
~ Audiences (The Joker edits content) - Interactive which means that he is involved in content, different approch to all other websites, links to the title and this makes it all feel real.
